Top 3 Solar Events to Look Forward to in 2019

A new year is about to begin, and with it comes a whole new calendar of upcoming solar events. This means more opportunities for solar contractors to learn about new developments in the solar world, as well as a chance to promote the need for solar energy to the general public.

In this post, we’re focusing on 3 of the largest and most important solar events in 2019. You’ll get a rundown of where they’re being held, when they’re happening, and what benefits they have to offer.

The Energy Expo - Miami, FL - January 23rd-24th
The Energy Expo is kicking off 2019 with a massive gathering for the U.S., Caribbean, and Latin American renewable energy markets. Over 40 countries are to be represented among the event’s speakers and attendants.

Solar contractors, solar manufacturers, engineers, architects, home builders, policy makers, and many other professionals who have an interest in renewable energy will gather at the event. As such, it promises to be a major networking opportunity, where connections can be made, deals can be struck, and brands can get their share of the spotlight.

This event will consist of both a conference and an expo full of insightful exhibits. Admission is available for the conference and expo together, or the expo individually. Tickets bought by December 15th, 2018 are offered at a special discount.

The 30th Annual Energy Fair - Custer, WI - June 21st-23rd
Up north in Custer, Wisconsin, the 30th Annual Energy Fair will mark one of the summer’s most important solar events. Attendees are expected to number over 13,000, with exhibitors including solar suppliers, renewable energy app makers, energy companies, and many solar installers.

The fun, family-friendly setting of the AEF also gives solar contractors the opportunity to connect with local homeowners who are interested in living a more sustainable lifestyle. You can enjoy the music and lighthearted activities of the fair, while also making valuable business connections. Additionally, there will be solar workshops held for solar professionals.

Ticket sales begin on April 1st, 2019. If you’re interested in being an exhibitor, register by February 15th to save 10% on your booth.

Solar Power International - September 23rd-29th
The first days of fall will be full of networking power at the Solar Power International trade show. Top solar suppliers, developers, installers, engineers, builders, and other industry figures will come together to talk about their plans, solutions, and goals. Even government representatives will be in attendance, eager to hear feedback from solar professionals on solar policies.

The show will host over 100 educational sessions, and give a glimpse at some of the industry’s most advanced tools and technologies. Scientists will share their research, and creators from other energy sectors will feature their own developments.

Registration for SPI opens in March 2019, but abstract presentation submissions must be in by December 19th, 2018. Poster presentation submissions are due by April 19th, 2019.

The organization is also hosting regional events throughout the year. Check their event calendar to find when your own region’s trade show will be.
